Bolton Abbey, Wharfedale and Kettlewell - Bailey Adamo 69-4 #ad #baileyofbristol #adamo

30th October

In the afternoon, Poppy and Tara take me down to Barden Bridge, via the view famously painted by JMW Turner, of Barden Tower.

1st November

We take the Adamo down to Bolton Abbey itself, on the way to Wharfedale Caravan and Motorhome Club Site. Although it should really be known as Bolton Priory it was a name that was adopted by the railway company who couldn't fit "Bolton In Wharfedale" on their sign, so they wrongly called it Bolton Abbey. Plenty of room in the car park for the Adamo.

The river is in full flood, although a groundsman tells us he's seen it coming over the bridge.

The trip to Wharfedale Caravan and Motorhome Club Site is short, scenic and fairly rainy. One of our favourite sites, with a great walk around the site.

In the evening when the rain clears, Poppy and Tara find a new walk in the abandoned Threshfield Quarry.

3rd November

We take the Adamo for short drive through Wharfedale to Kettlewell. I take a peek inside the lovely Kettlewell Church.

Can't beat Yorkshire in the Autumn sunshine!

We have a great meal in the Bluebell Inn.
