I drive the Bailey Adamo on it's first trip to Bolton Abbey Caravan and Motorhome Club Site. A mix of slow and fast roads gives me a chance to put the Adamo through it's paces. The automatic gearbox and cruise control is a revelation! In traffic, the automatic trickles along, foot off the brake foot on the brake. On the motorhome, I get up to my typical motorhome speed on the M65, 65 mph no problems, the engine feels very strong. Switch the cruise control on, the auto box changes down on the climb towards Blackburn, cruise control, keeps the speed.  I have a big smile on my face.

The stop start takes a bit of getting used to, but seems to start the engine as soon as pressure is taken off the brake.

The Adamo feels planted on the road - as much as a motorhome can be plated on the road, it's not a sports car! It rides well, no crashes or bangs over the UK's famous maintained roads.

Nerve cracking is the medieval arch on the road to the site, slow and steady through the 9ft 2in wide gap, mirrors fit through without folding. We arrive at Bolton Abbey for the last two nights in the campsite's season.
