Back in the Lakes and that lower bed - Bailey Adamo 69-4 #ad #baileyofbristol #adamo

10th November We move back into the Lake District with a trip to Meathop Fell Caravan and Motorhome Club site. One of our favourite lay-bys on the A6 At Meathop Fell, we meet up with Trev and Sue, from @Poshcats Camping and Mark and Coral from @Hitchupandtow. We try to answer the question - could four people live in the Bailey Adamo 69-4, by making up the lower bed. Still missing the vital support piece we try to position the cushions in the correct order, something I imagine would get easier with practice! 11th November Once again the Adamo's spacious lounge and table is the favourite for the evening with friends Trev and Sue. 12th November We make more use of the travel seats and take Trev and Sue down to the Lakeland Motor Museum, one of our favourite museums. Home to many iconic motor vehicles, including the tribute to the Campbell Legend, 21 world land speed records. 13th November Back home, sadly, to finish our full review of the Bailey Adamo 69-4. A motorhome we both thorou

Travel Seats and a Clever Table - Bailey Adamo 69-4 #ad #baileyofbristol #adamo

4th November We move onto Troutbeck Club Site, in Cumbria, via a click and collect at a well known supermarket in Skipton. Beautiful blue skies abound, in the glorious Yorkshire countryside as we take the scenic A65, through Settle, underneath the Settle Carlisle railway, onto the M6. Our friends Glyn and Sharon greet us as we arrive at Troutbeck, filming the Adamo, still in the sun, silver cab shining. I enrol Glyn to try setting up the travel seats. All goes well, we find it surprisingly easy to set up. 5th November In the morning we decide to use the travel seats to take Glyn and Sharon up to the Kirkstone Pass Inn. Fantastic scenery is completely absent, the pass is shrouded in mist. A nice meal at the Inn and we head down to Ambleside, via a stop for coffee. The travel seats were very comfortable for Jenny and Sharon. 6th November Our friends Trev and Sue arrive. In the evening we set up the Adamo's clever multi way table for our traditional Rummikub game, we easily fit the s

Bolton Abbey, Wharfedale and Kettlewell - Bailey Adamo 69-4 #ad #baileyofbristol #adamo

30th October In the afternoon, Poppy and Tara take me down to Barden Bridge, via the view famously painted by JMW Turner, of Barden Tower. 1st November We take the Adamo down to Bolton Abbey itself, on the way to Wharfedale Caravan and Motorhome Club Site. Although it should really be known as Bolton Priory it was a name that was adopted by the railway company who couldn't fit "Bolton In Wharfedale" on their sign, so they wrongly called it Bolton Abbey. Plenty of room in the car park for the Adamo. The river is in full flood, although a groundsman tells us he's seen it coming over the bridge. The trip to Wharfedale Caravan and Motorhome Club Site is short, scenic and fairly rainy. One of our favourite sites, with a great walk around the site.  In the evening when the rain clears, Poppy and Tara find a new walk in the abandoned Threshfield Quarry. Spot the Cybermen? 3rd November We take the Adamo for short drive through Wharfedale to Kettlewell. I take a peek inside th

I drive the Bailey Adamo on it's first trip to Bolton Abbey Caravan and Motorhome Club Site. A mix of slow and fast roads gives me a chance to put the Adamo through it's paces. The automatic gearbox and cruise control is a revelation! In traffic, the automatic trickles along, foot off the brake foot on the brake. On the motorhome, I get up to my typical motorhome speed on the M65, 65 mph no problems, the engine feels very strong. Switch the cruise control on, the auto box changes down on the climb towards Blackburn, cruise control, keeps the speed.  I have a big s

Friday 29th October 2021 The Bailey Adamo is delivered to our house on the back of a CADS transport low loader, courtesy of Mike. We spend the next two hours loading the Adamo with food, provisions, clothes and the things we think we may need. Still managed to forget quite a few items. Remembered to take the two doggies, Poppy and Tara though! Fun Fact - Adamo means "to fall in love with" in Latin. Will we fall in love with the Adamo? Around 2:00 we head off to our local campsite, Southport Caravan and Motorhome Club Site, driving all of three miles, starting the filming of our Y
